Beating the Winter Blues

We try to get out and do things so we don't succumb to the winter blues. Here's a few of our latest adventures:

We tried cross country skiing again. And that is not our dog.
This video is choppy on my computer, but maybe it'll work on yours...
This was on top of a frozen lake.

Clark did pretty good, but we also did a lot of this.

I was with the kids in the car while he skied, so I didn't get a picture.

We've been taking the kids to the building clinics at Home Depot and Lowes.  Clark loves it and sings, "Bob the Builder" while hammering away.

Building a "love note" box

And most of our days are spent doing things like this:

There is no safe place to lay down. I literally could not get up.

27

This month I turned 27.  I was able to go to the temple by myself in the morning - peace on the way there and back. Bliss. Chris surprised me with a cake that he hired his office manager to make.  Peppermint chocolate meringue. Delicious. Then Chris watched the boys while I went to the gym to work out (actually to watch American Idol) and then I browsed the Target clearance sections. It was a great day full of some of my favorite things and a break from some of my favorite people. :) Does that sound bad??  I really do love my kids! ;)

Clark graced me some birthday yoga poses.
A few days after my birthday, I got a package in the mail from my bestie with this awesome contraption in it.
Look at that perfect snowball!
