Choate Family Time in Utah

While in Utah, we were able to spend some time with my family. It was quite convenient that Grandma Choate has a house in Utah now - 30 minutes from the airport. Big perk in my book.  And despite some flight mix-ups, Grandpa Choate was able to make it out for part of the trip. It was nice to be able to escape the cold of Alaska to even colder temperatures in Utah. :)

Grandma took us on the Polar Express! Grandpa's flight got cancelled that day and he couldn't make it in time. We took Uncle Brantley instead. He was a trooper to sit for 90 minutes in a train with no leg room, a poopy toddler, and lots of screaming children.

Clark made a gingerbread "field" after his house collapsed.
Aunt Nessie and Clark continued the trend of "flat" candy creations and did letters for each other.
Where's Clark???
Uncle Jared - the "Isaac Whisperer"
Best Christmas toy at Grandma's?  The pink stroller. Go figure.

The boys got a plasma car to use at Grandma's house. They loved it. And so did Grandma. :)
OK....the truth. We all loved it.

I got to meet up with a long-time friend and her stinkin' cute little guy.
Isaac Whisperer....I'm tellin' ya.
Grandma's hard core.

Can't escape this chore anywhere...

Grandma sang "Santa Clause is Comin' to Town" about 100 times in one day because Isaac LOVED it.

What kind of uncle RUNS up the sledding hill with a huge 3 year old in his arms??  Only the best kind.

Best picture of the day!

Stalking Uncle Jared at work (Hobby Lobby) - the boys were ticked because I made them put all the toys away.

It was great to see everyone there.  It would have been perfect if Baby Charlotte could have been there! :)

Photoshoot

While we've been in Utah, I took the boys to get birthday/Christmas photos taken. They have bow ties that will be used for a wedding next week so I wanted to get more use out of them.  Our poor photographer was 7 weeks pregnant and not feeling well - these boys gave her a run for her money. Dinner time, no nap, 2 boys running around like crazy. Need I say more? She got a good tip from me! But we got some good ones and some funny ones.

I'm soaking in the time when his buck teeth are considered cute. :)

Little men - so grown up!

This shot took WAY too long for him to cooperate. But it's classic Clark.

Hahahaha. He was freaking out about his heels touching the cold ground.

Before...
After...
Love this one.
And this one...
And of course this one :)
He plays the "I'm super sweet" card really well.
Merry Christmas from the Rosenvalls!!

Birthday and Blankie

Isaac turned 2 this past week!  He still seems like a baby to me but I guess he's growing up and I should probably have another one (not an announcement by the way). His birthday fell the day before Thanksgiving, so we kept it simple.  And with his dietary restrictions, he was limited to nasty, gluten free cake with no frosting (My attempt at coconut oil frosting turned into chocolate sauce. Oh well. )

And since Isaac and his blankie go everywhere together, here are some pictures of Isaac with his blankie as well as some birthday pictures.

Those red ribbons have seen better days.

I love when he pushes his blankie around. So cute.
We got a hammock while we save up for a couch. The boys love it.
Blowing milk bubbles. (He has to have the blankie behind his head while eating.)
Slurping up the mess
First big boy haircut

My friend Emily made the blanket for him. She even made a back-up in case we lost the first one, but he knows the difference. Don't try to fool him. When we really do lose it, our world will end.

Birthday hugs

Gluten free yumminess....

Isaac LOVES his new castle!
Happy 2nd birthday, Isaac Boy!
